Nicolas Cage is 2023's new Dracula! And he is just as iconic as you'd imagine.

Edit Article

The latest "Renfield" movie trailer revealed more scenes with Nicolas Cage under his new Dracula mantle. The movie also stars Nicholas Hoult as Dracula's better side, better known for his work in X-Men, Warm Bodies, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Great and The Menu, and Awkwafina as a cop who has her life saved by Holt, known for her work in Ocean's 8, Crazy Rich Asians, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens.

This version of Dracula is modern, comedy-packed and irreverent at its very core. The story follows Holt as Renfield as he takes on the tough task of being Dracula's assistant in the modern century, 2023. Previous teasers had shown more of the character of Renfield, revealing he had made a deal with Dracula to get some powers himself in exchange for his assistant work.

Now, a new teaser dropped for this incredible work, showing more of Nicolas Cage himself as Dracula. It shows how the duo met, including an iconic flashback sequence inspired by other versions of Dracula in cinema: Black and white like the 1931 version, with the unmistakable screams from a damsel in distress. Nicolas Cage's Dracula takes on a bit of every actor who formerly played the most famous vampire in cinema, adding a touch of Christopher Lee's aesthetic portrayal in 1958, and the gothic seriousness of Gary Oldman's Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Renfield hits the theaters April 14th, 2023.
